GIVING TO CHRIST CHAPEL

As a church, we trust God to supply our needs through the generosity of his people. Our Finance Committee and Treasurer are committed to stewarding our finances well, and accountability is provided through a congregationally-approved budget and a yearly audit. Gifts to Christ Chapel are tax deductible.

Giving In Person

Cash or checks may be deposited in the labeled box in the lobby or into the offering bags that are passed during the service.

Giving By Mail

Please mail checks to our secure post office box: Christ Chapel, PO Box 4585, Ithaca, NY 14852.

Giving by Bill Pay

Your bank may offer you a "bill pay" feature where they will send checks on your behalf, either once or automatically every month. Please have them mail the check to: Christ Chapel, PO Box 4585, Ithaca, NY 14852.

Text an amount to 84321 to begin a text donation. The first time you do this, you will be prompted to connect your payment method.

Giving Online

For those who would like to donate online, we use an online donation service, Planning Center Giving. Click here to give online.

Notes on Online Giving:

• Planning Center Giving uses Stripe, a popular payment processor.

• You can use either a Credit/Debit Card (CC) or Automated Clearing House (ACH), which is a form of electronic check.

• The ACH method is a lower cost for Christ Chapel, but requires you know your bank and account routing numbers (contact your financial institution if you are unsure about these).

• You may give once, or setup recurring giving at a variety of intervals.

• Selecting to cover the card processing fees will increase your gift by the amount Stripe charges for this service, so your original gift amount will reach the church.

• If you want to use the online giving service but need technical assistance, feel free to contact the Christ Chapel treasurer.

Designated Giving Policy
Christ Chapel accepts gifts from donors who intend for Christ Chapel to use them for designated purposes. While Christ Chapel typically honors the designation, Christ Chapel reserves the right to use the gifts in any way the Board of Elders deem reasonable for the benefit of the church’s mission. This treatment ensures that the gifts are tax deductible for the donor and flexible for Christ Chapel. Any designated gifts over and above the amount needed for the designated purposes will be reallocated by church leadership.
